Oh Hey Look!

Oh hey look - it's June! Like, June 2012. Like, the month FLOWERTOWN finally hits the shelves. Feeling even more squirrel brained than ever. Feels like everytime I look up (which isn't very often) the world has completely reinvented itself and nobody told me. I guess this will pass, right? Right? Anyone? Hoping to get a website built very soon and by very soon I mean sometime before I die. Maybe then I can post all the cool things that are happening - and there are a lot of them - in one place where I won't forget the password. It's June. It's finally June. Cheers everyone!

Hi SG, and congratulations on Flowertown. I just finished the audiobook version from Audible.com. I liked very much how you put it together. It's fun for me when I find myself empathizing with characters, and Flowertown gave me a very satisfying dose of claustrophobia and rage against corporate greed. Knowing myself to likely fit right in Ellie and Martha's 5-6-7 shoes, and since my drugs of choice are caffeine and Adderall, I have spent most of today wondering where I would've fit in. I liked your persistent reminders to pay attention and the book titles that kept popping up; I liked that the ending was complicated and that the flock will, assuredly, remain divided. I'm looking forward to reading what else you have to offer.

Thanks so much everyone for the nice words! It's been surreal watching the book leave my fingers and fly out to the world. Hoping to get a big girl website up soon. First, though, getting the next book done. Thanks again and cheers! SGR

Hi! PLEASE tell me that you're writing a sequel to Flowertown!!! It was a really great book and now I'm dying to know what may happen next... I even got my husband to read it (and he's enjoying it!) and we rarely like the same books. Well done!

I'm just putting the finishing touches on a sci-fi novel but I'm not done with Ellie and company. Something nefarious is brewing in those weird, dark spots in my brain. *insert evil laugh* Thanks for reading!

Flowertown was a featured deal on my Kindle. After ripping through the sample I had to download the full version (yeah, me...the cheapster who has over 100 items on her Kindle, only six of which were *not* free). Congratulations on being one of my Six and if you can come up with a sequel great, but don't force it. If it's meant to be it will pull itself off.

I never judge anyone on the freebies! Who can resist a free book??? And that you bought mine? SWEET! Thanks! (I am a kindle hoarder!)

Wow, superb, fantastic Flowertown. It made me fall in love with my Kindle. I couldn't put the Kindle down but please tell me, I wish it had been clearer who survived at the end. The supposed loss of Rachel was devastating. 10/10

Thanks again everyone for the encouraging words! The really good news is an actual website will soon be inhabiting this poor neglected domain. As for sequels and follow ups...my lips are sealed. :) Cheers!

Just finished "Flowertown".. AMAZING.. It took me a week to read the first half (working full time, and a family to care for).. But once I hit the halfway mark I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! Great development of the story! . I could not help but feel connected to the protagonist (although we have absolutely nothing in common). I look forward to reading more!

Thanks VJ & Savannah and everyone else who has stopped by here to cheer on FLOWERTOWN! It means the world to me. I know I've been promising and promising to get a real website up but there is just so much good news flooding in right now I don't even know which way is up. A sweet problem to have ! Stay tuned. Cheers!

I'm 2/3 through and loving it. I'm reading it for an online book club. the Apocalypse Whenever group on goodreads.com. I haven't read all the comments since I'm still reading, but I get the impression everyone loves it and are eager for a sequel.

goodreads.com would be a good site for you to do some promoting and connect with fans. Free, easy to use, also good for authors connecting with other authors, you may want to consider it. You have can your blogs autopublished to goodreads too, so you don't have to spend much time on it if you don't want to.

I just finished Flowertown. It originally popped up on my goodreads, and when Amazon had it for discount, I called that faith and decided to read it. I loved this book! And while I do plan on reading more of your work, I'm desperately hoping for a sequel.

I'm 47 years old and female. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with COPD and I was beyond scared! My lung function test indicated 49% capacity. After having had the flu a year ago, the shortness of breath, coughing and chest pains continued even after being treated with antibiotics. I've been smoking two packs a day for 36 years. Being born without a sternum caused my ribs to be curled in just one inch away from my spine, resulting in underdeveloped lungs. At age 34 I had surgery and it was fixed. Unfortunately my smoking just caused more damage to my already under developed lungs. The problem was that I enjoy smoking and don't want to give up! Have tried twice before and nearly went crazy and don't want to go through that again. I saw the fear in my husband and children's eyes when I told them about my condition then they started to find a solution on their own to help my condition.I am a 47 now who was diagnosed with COPD emphysema which I know was from my years of smoking. I started smoking in school when smoking was socially acceptable. I remember when smoking was permitted in hospitals. It was not known then how dangerous cigarettes were for us, and it seemed everybody smoked but I was able to get rid of my COPD lung condition through the help of  Dr Akhigbe   total cure herbal medicine. My husband saw his testimony on the internet that he used his powerful medicine to cure different diseases. We contacted his email   [drrealakhigbe@gmail.com}   He has the right herbal formula to help you get rid and repair any lung conditions and other diseases, will cure you totally and permanently with his natural organic herbs,We received the medicine through courier delivery service.
